About the Artist
Ruth Randall-George was born in Sale Victoria and has been drawing and painting most of her life. She began taking painting lessons with Graham Walpole in 1974 and later studied with renowned artist Barry Alford.
Ruth has travelled extensively - she lived in Malaysia for two years and studied the Malaysian culture. After four years in Houston, Texas, she continued her art studies and took up photography. She travelled to England and Canada before returning home to Australia in late 1996.
Much of Ruth’s work sells through private commissions, several have been for Corporate Managers, and her work hangs in many private collections throughout Australia, the United States, England and Malaysia.
Although Ruth spends most of her time on commissioned works she occasionally enters her work in Art Exhibitions where she has taken out several prizes and highly commended awards.
Book illustrations and a growing demand for her portrait photography add to her busy professional life.
